UNK in Rotterdam.


Preparing the Garden-Dwarfs in the garden complex 'tot nut en genoegen' in Rotterdam.
Finally got a name for them; U.N.K. which means United Nations Kabouters (Dwarfs).

'They protect the peace in your garden keeping nasty neighbors, disturbers of your moral values and all other violators on a safe distance, they will not use force! well not until somebody crosses your border of course. They make your garden a safe and quiet peaceful isle in a rough world.'

The show is held until the 10th of June at both places:

It is more work then I expected currently I'm busy painting them, the army coat is very time extensive. It's got to be ready before the 15th of may, hope I make it in time...

Friends helping to paint the dwarfs, I'm very thankful for that, there is no more time to waste now, and the painting of the camouflage suit is so much work...

For ever young


Exposition 'Paas meubelshow'
Made a medicine cabinet for an group exhibition in Haarlem, the theme was home-altars.
The title is 'Forever Young', it is an cabinet covered with human hair and filled with all the stuff that makes us believe to stay forever young, e.g. all kind of vitamins, lots of pills, silicon's, different kind of drugs, needles etc.

 
 
 




United colors of Aids


Different masks covered with different colors of hair (project(H) art for Africa)
Within a week or two there is going to be a auction of the work. The money goes to different Aids-projects in Afrike.

I'm currently busy making an army of garden dwarfs for an exhibition during 'Rotterdam 2001 Cultural Capital of Europe' and an art project 'art for Africa'
